‘The Likeminded’ has won gold at the Melbourne Design Awards. This project was shot in 2022 over the course of 4 days in both Melbourne and Ross Tasmania with crew of 4. It really shows how you can create a beautiful story when you’ve got a client who trusts you and a crew of legends making you look good.
The film follows the wool from the sheeps back to our own. My approach was based around the idea of lineage from the micro (the fibre itself) to the marcro (supply chains). For the shoot we searched for threads and pathways. Lines in the wooden floorboards in the sheering shed, queues of sheep waiting to be shorn and rows of wool bales ready for shipping.
